The ABB PSTX840-600-70 softstarter is part of ABB’s high-performance PSTX series, engineered for large and demanding motor applications. With a high operational current rating of 840 A and a voltage range of 208–600 V AC, it is suitable for pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, and other heavy-duty motor systems.

The unit offers advanced soft-start and soft-stop control through voltage and torque ramp functions, minimizing mechanical wear and electrical inrush current. It includes built-in motor protection, such as overload protection, current limiting, jam protection, and kick-start capability.

Featuring an internal bypass for improved efficiency, removable display for easier configuration, and Modbus RTU communication as standard (with optional fieldbus modules), the PSTX840-600-70 provides comprehensive diagnostics and advanced control integration.
