The ABB PSR12-600-70 is a compact and efficient softstarter designed for smooth motor startup and energy-efficient operation. With a rated maximum operational current of 12 A and support for operating voltages between 208 and 600 V AC, it suits a wide range of industrial applications. The unit is controlled with a rated control voltage range of 100 to 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz.
Key features include two-phase control for soft start and stop via adjustable voltage ramp, and an integrated bypass for simplified installation and energy savings. Configuration is straightforward using three front-mounted potentiometers that adjust start and stop ramp times and initial voltage.
A built-in relay provides a normally open RUN signal output. For enhanced functionality, the PSR12-600-70 can be combined with ABB manual motor starters (MMS) using optional mechanical connection kits. Fieldbus communication is also available through an external adaptor and plug for integration into larger control systems.
Part of ABB’s most compact softstarter series, the PSR12-600-70 is engineered for reliability and space-saving installations. It supports up to 100 starts per hour and is ideal for controlling small three-phase motors driving equipment such as pumps, fans, compressors, and conveyors.
