The PowerLogic PM5562 by Schneider Electric is a fully featured electrical power monitoring device designed for industrial, commercial, and utility environments. Built to IEC standards with Class 0.2S accuracy for active energy, it provides precision measurement of fundamental electrical parameters including voltage, current, frequency, active/reactive power and energy, power factor and up to the 63rd harmonic for power quality analysis. With a flush-mount 96 × 96 mm backlit LCD display and 1.1 MB of non-volatile memory, the PM5562 can log multiple parameters over time and support up to eight tariff schedules. The meter supports four digital inputs for WAGES monitoring and two digital outputs for control or alarm functions, plus a rich set of 52 configurable alarms. Dual 10/100 Mb Ethernet interfaces allow daisy-chaining and connectivity via Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP and BACnet/IP, and there’s also RS-485 for Modbus RTU/ASCII. Its RMICAN hardware lock ensures revenue settings protection. The device accepts a wide supply range (100–300 VDC or 90–528 VAC), supports 1 A and 5 A CT inputs, and is compatible with single-phase or three-phase systems at 50/60 Hz.
