The ABB PSE142-600-70 is a robust and versatile softstarter designed for smooth, efficient control of three-phase motors in a wide range of industrial applications. With a rated maximum operational current of 142 A and operating voltage from 208 to 600 V AC, it supports motors with nominal currents ranging from 18 to 370 A. Its wide control voltage range of 100–250 V AC at 50/60 Hz enhances installation flexibility.

Equipped with two-phase control, the PSE provides soft start and stop using either a voltage or torque ramp. Its built-in bypass contactor simplifies installation and improves energy efficiency. Key features include current limit, kickstart, analog output, end-of-life (EOL) indication, underload protection, and locked rotor protection.

For user interaction, the PSE features an illuminated, symbol-based display for intuitive, language-neutral operation. An optional external keypad (IP66 rated) allows remote control and programming.
