The Allen-Bradley 1756-RM2 ControlLogix Redundancy Module is designed to provide robust controller redundancy for ControlLogix automation systems. Installed as a pair in separate chassis, these modules use fiber-optic communication with LC-type connectors and single-mode fiber cables to synchronize data between primary and backup controllers at transmission rates up to 1000 Mbps. This high-speed synchronization facilitates seamless controller switchover (typically in the order of tens of milliseconds) in the event of a fault, maintaining continuous operation of your system.

It supports key ControlLogix processors such as the Logix 5560 and 5570 series, and allows integration with communication modules like ControlNet or EtherNet/IP within the redundant architecture. The module occupies a single slot in any ControlLogix chassis and is suitable for distributed installations with redundancy links up to 10 km in length. Electrical and environmental specifications ensure reliable operation in industrial environments.
